Rainy Thursday in Delhi, more showers likely on Friday


New Delhi, July 30 (IANS): Parts of the national capital received light rain on Thursday while the weather remained pleasant and the maximum temperature settled three notches below the season's average at 31.3 degrees Celsius. The city is likely to get more showers on Friday, the Met Office said.

"The sky will remain cloudy tomorrow (Friday) and some parts of the city may get rain," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 31 and 25 degrees.

On Thursday, the city received "traces" of rainfall till 5.30 p.m. which are "not measurable" and the minimum temperature settled at 25.2 degrees Celsius, two notches below average.

The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 84 percent.

Wednesday's maximum temperature was recorded at 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 22 degrees Celsius, slightly below the season's average.
