Pakistan fires again at Indian posts along LoC

Jammu, July 30 (IANS): The Pakistan Army on Thursday fired again at Indian positions on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, following which India retaliated, an official said.

Heavy exchange of fire was continuing in the area, defence spokesman Colonel Manish Mehta told IANS.

"Pakistani troops started unprovoked firing at our positions in Krishna Ghati sector of the LoC at 6.15 p.m. Our troops are now effectively retaliating the enemy fire," the spokesperson said.

He said no casualty or damage was reported from the Indian side.

In the same sector, Pakistan had on Wednesday violated the ceasefire, in which a soldier of the Indian Army was killed.
