Soldier kills self in Jammu

Jammu, July 31 (IANS): A soldier shot himself with his service rifle late Thursday inside a barrack in Jammu, police said.

"The soldier identified as Gokula Kumar, resident of Kollam (Kerala), shot himself with his service rifle inside the Chatha camp in Jammu city," police said here on Friday.

"Inquest proceedings have started and the body has been shifted to government medical college for postmortem examination."
