Udupi: Man gives fake gold in exchange for loan, arrested in Bengaluru

Udupi, Jul 31: A man who had allegedly deposited fake gold ornaments in order to obtain loan from a finance firm in Udupi has been arrested in Bengaluru.

The accused, Abdul Majeed (32), had obtained a loan from Manappuram Gold Loan Finance after depositing ornaments which he claimed to be made of gold, but later they were found to be fake.

A resident of Pandubettu here, Majeed had deposited 48.6 grams of fake gold ornaments and obtained a loan of Rs 93,000. A case was registered in Malpe and Udupi police stations on July 26.

Under the guidance of Udupi circle inspector Srikanth and sub-inspector Ravikumar, the Udupi and Malpe police began investigations and succeeded in tracing the accused to Bengaluru. He was arrested on July 28 near Anand Rao circle.

The accused has been brought to Malpe and produced in court, and sent to judicial custody.

    Excuse me,here all Troubles could have saved if that finance loan Group did their duty properly ,means should have find out if it was Gold or not before lending Money.where they also a fake Money givers.?everywhere Money lenders observe first the Gold or silver ist purity and then giveout Money.since cheating in this Business is common.That too such a huge amount.Believing is good,control is better.Now see how you get back Money.Here there are on National Highways restplace,some Rumänien Groups ,doing same things.Telling Storys Needs urgent Money and offer Gold from ancesters?that too very low rate.some believe and buy thinking lowprice,later let check at home and fall on the nose.

    Inefficiency and carelessness from the finance is the reason for this. Is the finance officials so stupid, fake gold sells in India even Mr. feku is a success story in India!!
