Mangaluru: One more arrested in fake documents case

Mangaluru, Aug 2: Police have arrested one more person in a case involving crores of rupees in which some persons made fake documents to sell properties.

Harish Tholar (38) from Amasebail Belmane in Kundapur taluk is the person arrested. CCB police made the arrest and they have handed over the arrested person to Urwa police station for further action. Five persons had already been arrested in the same case.

The accused with others sold two properties measuring together 6.6 acres in Pachanady involving an amount of Rs 2.51 crore. The buyer of the properties was Dr Abhinandan Sorake, a lecturer at A J Dental Science College. Later it was discovered that fake documents were created to sell the said properties.

Harish has several cases registered against him in Kerala state and Bengaluru and Udupi districts. He is also said to have been involved in builder Subba Rao murder case which took place in 2007 in city.
