Seven injured in Britain boat explosion


London, Aug 3 (IANS): Seven people, including two children, were injured in an explosion in a boat in Buckinghamshire on Sunday, a media report said.

Citing police, the BBC report said the incident took place at Bray Lock, Amerden Lane in Taplow, around 12.40 p.m.

Two men and a woman in their 40s, a woman in her 30s, a teenaged girl and a three-year-old boy were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injures, while another man was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The boat was reportedly privately owned, Thames Valley Police said.

Police were at the scene and an investigation was underway to establish the circumstances of the explosion.

There were no road closures, but people were urged to avoid the area.
