Mangaluru: 'Ashadanthlim Ek Saanj' delights audience at Kalaangan

Mangaluru, Aug 3: A total musical atmosphere was created on Sunday August 2 at Kalaangan.The 164 monthly theatre had music nite this time headed by Joel Attur, a young blooming bud.



































'Ashadanthlim Khana' (Food of rainy season) ponsache patholi, gariyo, kazu moio (Names of snacks in Konkani) and so on,were kept at the entrance just to taste the entire meaning of the musical nite. Nihal Tauro sang the title song written by Wilson Kateel and composed by Eric Ozario.

Later the crowd had the chance of tasting the sweet voice of many singers as they kept the crowd going with their velvet voices. The series of the show ran thus- Vengenth Dhorum was sung by Jerry D’souza, Chandnyache Rathim was by Arun D’souza and Josna Fernandes, Kalza Gaaz by Chandrahas Suvarna, Festha Santhek by Vishw Konkani Kalarathn Eric Ozario and Konkan Abolem Joyce Ozario, Volu ye by Anitha D’souza, Kulkulo by Murulidhar Kamath,Chandhrem Udevn Ailo by William Pinto and Melisa Corda, Tuje Sobith Dhon Dhole by Anil D’sa, Sanjecha Velar by Ivy D’souza, Umyani Vont by Nester D’souza, Haathanth Gevun Haath by Nihal Tauro and Jasmin D’souza,Ye Voniye by Arun Danthy, Sangim Sangim by Shelton Pinto and Shiny Rodrigues, Maai Maka Gavnso Ugdas yetha by Herald Tauro and the final song - Wilma Maria was sung by Joel Attur.

The songs were selected from the following famous poets of Konkani: Late Wilfy Remimbus, Ullas Buyavn, Henry D’souza, Melwin Peris, Melwin Ludrik, Clod D’souza, Eric Ozario, Mick Max, George Pinto Aikol, Walter Danthis, Panchu Bantwal, Loyd Rego, Lancy Moras, Roshan Belman, Ajith Peter and Joel Attur.

Musicians were Rajendra Bably (Drums), Rajesh and Edrin D’cunha (Keys), Vijay Moras (Lead Guitarist) and Leon (Bass). The show was well supported by many wellwishers like, Noel Mathias from Global cashew industries, Joel Mathias from Civil tech consulting engineers and valuers, Naveen Lobo of Lobo event organizers , Royston and Reena Noronha, Godwin and Josna Castelino and M C Rajesh D’souza.

Wilson Kayyar painted some pitures on the themes of songs while the show was on.

The show was compered by well known master of ceremony Alwyn Pernal.
