BJP parliamentary party adopts resolution against Congress

New Delhi, Aug 4 (IANS): The BJP parliamentary party on Tuesday passed a resolution against the politics of obstructionism and negativity by Congress.

It also reiterated that none of its leaders would resign as demanded by the main opposition party.

"The resolution against the politics of obstructionism and negativity by Congress was introduced by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad and unanimously passed by the BJP parliamentary party," Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told reporters.

Naqvi also said that none of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders will resign.

"There will be no resignations. Congress is trying to defame them in the public," he said.

He said the allegations against External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje are baseless.

On the suspension of 25 Congress MP's, Naqvi said: "Congress' aim was to washout the session, which they (Congress) had clearly said on the very first day of session and we could not allow that."
