Two arrested with fake notes in Bihar


Patna, Aug 4 (IANS): Two people were on Tuesday arrested in Bihar's Munger district with fake currency notes having a face value of Rs.1 lakh, police said.

Police nabbed the the two while they were on their way to deliver the notes to another person, district police official Arun Kumar said.

According to police, the arrested duo is from Delhi. Bihar has emerged as a hub for distribution of fake notes, the official added.

Till a few years ago, counterfeit notes brought from Bangladesh were smuggled to Nepal via West Bengal and Bihar before being pumped back into the India.
