Induction day, student council inaugurated at Padua P U College

Mangaluru, Aug 4: The induction day of the academic year 2015-2016 was recently conducted for the first year students at Padua PU College. The student council was also inaugurated during the programme.

“Stop saying I wish and start saying I will” said the chief guest, Fr Clifford Fernandes, as he motivated and instilled courage in students.

He also highlighted the importance of respect one ought to have for their teachers in order to grow as a student and be a better individual in the future.

Correspondent, Fr Antony Serrao emphasized how character should go hand in hand with studies.

Degree principal Fr Alwyn Serrao graced the induction programme.

All the teaching, non teaching staff members were honoured on the occasion. Students who scored above 90 percent in the second pre university exam 2015 were honoured.

Principal Gladys Moraes, welcomed the gathering. Reshma Vinay proposed vote of thanks. English lecturer, Sophronia Maben compered the programme.

Various extracurricular and co-curricular clubs were also inaugurated on the occasion.
