This was announced by Eric Ozario, secretary of Jagotik Konknni Songhotton at a press meet here on Wednesday August 5.

He further said, "In this 2nd Global Conclave, we will finalize and adopt the 'Konkani Language Plan' (Konkanni Fuddara Yevzo'nn) to ensure a secure future for Konkani. Over 200 delegates will be representing various Konkani organizations from around the world," he added.

He also requested all Konkani-speaking people to study the draft and submit their observations, feedback and corrections and participate in the Global Conclave. The draft may be procured by emailing - jksglobe@gmail.com.

"This attempt of Konkani-speaking people to plan ahead for their language and culture will inspire people of other launguages," Ozario added.

Dr Ravishshankar Rao, JKS steering committee member, also spoke on this occasion.

Everything should be done to promote Konkani culture and language. Konkani-speaking people live all over the world. I know some very well who live and work in Germany and it is their culture and language and their faith which give them a meaning, strength.
I wish Konkani-speaking people the best.

    Best regards
