Mumbai, Aug 6 (IANS): Jigyasa Singh, who plays the role of a girl who stammers a lot in the TV show "Thapki Pyar Ki", made her mother emotional when she saw the actress in a bridal outfit.
With a wedding ceremony sequence going on, on the set of "Thapki Pyar Ki", Jigyasa took a photograph of herself and shared it with her mother. However, her mother got emotional by seeing her daughter in a bridal avatar.
"I was very thrilled about my bridal look in the upcoming sequence of our show and in that excitement I shared a selfie with my mother. I didn’t realise this was going to make my mother so emotional. She called me after seeing the images and her tears left me completely speechless,” Jigyasa said in a statement.
Not only Jigyasa, but Ankit Bathla, who plays Dhruv in the Colors' show, shared that his mother is very excited about the sequence since she has been convincing him to get married for a long time.
“My mother has gotten all excited after getting to know about the track on the show because people have started coming with wedding proposals to her. She has been trying to convince me to get married for a very long time. But I have been extremely busy with my show and have not got time to concentrate on my personal life,” Ankit said.
The story of “Thapki Pyar Ki” revolves around a girl who stammers. However, she doesn't let her incapability destroy her cheerful and obedient character.

Fire on 'Badi Doooor Se Aaye Hain' set
With wedding bells ringing on the sets of alien comedy show "Badi Doooor Se Aaye Hain", the lights that were put up for celebration burnt down the drapes that were decorated on the set.
During the shoot of a wedding ceremony sequence, the lights that were put up for the celebration got over heated and hence resulted in burning the drapes on Tuesday.
"While we were shooting for our sangeet sequence all of a sudden there was a light that sparked and resulted in burning the drapes of the mandap. The fire kept spreading, thus we had to evacuate the entire set. Nobody was hurt and no harm was caused," said a source from the show.
"We have resumed the shoot as we need to wind up with the track. The set has been reconstructed and everything has gone back to normal," the source added.
"Badi Doooor Se Aaye Hain", which airs on SAB TV, narrates a comical tale of an alien family which is struggling to settle with humans on Earth while learning the intricacies of human nature and behaviour.

Nawaz Modi Singhania to train 'Indian Idol Junior' contestants
Celebrity fitness expert Nawaz Modi Singhania has been roped in to train the contestants of the singing reality show “Indian Idol Junior”. He says certain workouts will help the contestants enhance their stamina, improve lung capacity and reduce competitive stress.
"With the kids we are doing Pranayams for lung strengthening, breath and voice holding power, as well as to increase stamina with various yoga aasanas. Nutrition and oxygen improvement for the participants to improve vigour is also worked upon,” Singhania said in a statement.
“Other exercises for the voice will be to expand the lungs and diaphragm, to hold the breath and voice longer. Posture improvement is important for a performer as it also hinders the lung capacity,” she added.
“Indian Idol Junior”, which airs on Sony Entertainment Television, features actress Sonakshi Sinha and musicians Vishal Dadlani and Salim Merchant as judges.
