New Delhi, Aug 6 (IANS): Parts of the national capital on Thursday received showers which led to waterlogging in some areas. More rain is expected on Friday, the Met department said.
An official with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said light to moderate rain was experienced in parts of Delhi in the afternoon.
Delhi Police traffic department said while traffic remained heavy on some arterial roads, no major jams were reported.
"The sky will remain overcast and thunderstorms are likely in some parts of the city tomorrow (Friday)," the official said.
On Friday, the maximum and minimum temperature will hover around 34 and 25 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Thursday morning was cloudy and the minimum temperature was recorded a notch below the seasons' average at 25.5 degrees Celsius, the Met office said. The day's maximum temperature was a notch above average at 34 degrees Celsius.
The maximum humidity was recorded at 95 percent.
Wednesday's maximum temperature was 35.1 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average and the minimum was recorded at 25.5 degrees Celsius, a notch below the average.
