12 soldiers killed in Pakistan helicopter crash


Islamabad, Aug 7 (IANS): At least 12 soldiers were killed on Thursday when an army chopper crashed in Pakistan, officials said.

The accident took place in Mansehra district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province when a helicopter of the Army Medical Corps crashed due to "rough weather", state-run Radio Pakistan reported.

The helicopter was on its way from Rawalpindi to Gilgit, the officials said.
