Heavy showers in Delhi


New Delhi, Aug 7 (IANS): Parts of the national capital received heavy showers on Friday afternoon while its neighbouring suburbs of Noida and Ghaziabad had light rain.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the rain will continue in the evening.

"The sky will remain overcast and more rain is likely to occur in the evening," the official said.

The maximum temperature would hover around 32 degrees Celsius.

Friday morning was pleasant and cloudy and the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.4 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season.

The humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 87 percent.

Thursday's maximum temperature was at 34 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average while the minimum was 26.4 degrees Celsius.
