Kasargod: Two 16-year-old boys drown in pond

Kasargod, Aug 8: In a tragic incident, two teenage boys drowned in a pond at Uduma here on Saturday August 8.

The deceased have been identified as Uduma residents Akshay and Sumodh, both 16 years old.

The boys went to the pond after playing for sometime in an open ground nearby. While swimming, they were pulled in by the water and began shouting for help.

Though the locals rushed to their rescue on hearing the boys scream, they were unable to save them as the water was too deep.

The fire personnel who arrived at the spot retrieved the bodies.

The bodies were then sent to Kasargod government hospital for post-mortem/

Bekal police have registered a case.
