12 killed in Pakistan road accident


Islamabad, Aug 10 (IANS): At least 12 people were killed and over a dozen injured on Monday in a road accident in Pakistan's Balochistan province.

The accident occurred in Kalat district when the brake of a troller enroute from Karachi to Quetta failed as a result of which it ran over vehicles, Dawn online reported.

Eight people were killed on the spot whereas four succumbed to their injuries on the way to the hospital, sources said.

The troller was carrying oil and ghee from Karachi.

The condition of five of the injured was serious and the toll was likely to increase, sources added.

Three vehicles were destroyed in the accident.
