Chouhan suggested names for MP varsity jobs?

Bhopal, Aug 10 (IANS): Even as the CBI is probing the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh, written evidence has emerged indicating Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had made some "recommendations" for appointments in the Makhan Lal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication here.

According to three "notesheets", in possession of IANS, Chouhan, through the secretary of the public relations department's secretary asked the university vice chancellor to appoint some individuals as senior professors om contract.

Complying with the directives, Vice Chancellor B.K. Kuthiyala issued orders in October 2010 for recruiting the individuals.

RTI activist Purnendu Shukla told IANS: "These orders show which method was used in appointing the senior professors."

Stating that the information regarding slips was obtained by different people through RTIs, Shukla said the entire procedure of recruitment was completed on the same day the slips were issued by the chief minister.

Vice Chancellor Kuthiala told IANS on the phone that the "notesheets" had come but nobody was recruited on their basis.
