6.6-magnitude quake hits Dadali, Solomon Islands


Hong Kong, Aug 11 (IANS): An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale jolted 180 km southwest of Dadali, Solomon Islands at 04.12 on Monday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 15 km, was initially determined to be at 9.3208 degrees south latitude and 158.0092 degrees east longitude, Xinhua reported.
