Srinagar, Aug 11 (IANS): Security forces on Tuesday carried out a cordon and search operation to flush out terrorists hiding in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

"Security forces surrounded Peer Mohalla Rantipora late Monday on specific information that some militants were hiding there," a senior police officer told IANS here.

The operation is still on, he said.
