Cabinet reshuffle list complete: Thai PM

Bangkok, Aug 11 (IANS): Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha on Tuesday said a cabinet reshuffle list was completed and would be submitted to the king for endorsement.

But he did not reveal how the current cabinet would be reshuffled or when the list would be forwarded to King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Xinhua news agency reported.

The premier is also expected to name a new police chief on Friday.

In a related development, Defence Minister Prawit Wongsuwon reportedly said Tuesday that he was waiting for outgoing army chief Udomdej Sitabutr to submit nomination for a successor by Saturday.

Prawit stressed that the two assistant army chiefs, one of whom is the younger brother of the prime minister, are both well qualified for the position.
