11 killed in Kashmir road accident


Srinagar, Aug 11 (IANS): Eleven people were killed in a road accident in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district on Tuesday, police said.

"Eleven people died today when the Sumo taxi they were travelling in went out of the driver's control and dropped into a deep gorge at stage two post near Karnah town on Kupwara-Karnah road, a senior police officer told IANS here.

The vehicle was going from Kupwara town to Karnah, the officer said, adding the driver was among the 11 people killed.
