Coal mine accident kills 10 in China


Beijing, Aug 12 (IANS): A coal and gas outburst in a coal mine in southwest China's Guizhou Province has killed at least 10 people, local authorities said.

The outburst on Tuesday night occurred around 7.50 p.m. in a coal mine in Louxia Township of Pu'an County, Xinhua reported.

Rescue was underway and authorities are looking into the cause of the accident.
