Kuwait, Aug 12 (Emirates 247): A Kuwaiti man was caught on camera beating a veiled woman in the heart of a busy town centre, triggering angry reactions from viewers.
A YouTube film published by Kuwait’s Arabic language daily 'Al Watan' showed the man slapped and kicked the defenseless woman many times, ignoring pleas by shoppers to stop. The incident created pandemonium in the market, according to the paper, which did not say why the man was hitting the woman and whether he is related to her.
“The film was circulated on social media. It triggered angry reactions by the viewers who called for arresting the man,” the paper said.
It quoted a source at the Interior Ministry as saying police are examining the film and could arrest the man involved.
