Abu Dhabi, Jun 11: Konkani stage lovers in Abu Dhabi had a wonderful evening filled with music, song, tragedy and hilarious comedy with the astonishing performance by Menino de Bandar and his troupe all the way from Goa on 08th June at the Sudanese Club, Abu Dhabi.


The show was a complete bundle of professional cast like Anotonette de Candolim, Felcy, Antush, Bonny to name a few. Spectacular performance by Comedy trio Succor – Brian – Philip Almeida electrified the crowd to the heights of entertainment. Janet - comedy queen of the Konkani stage kept the temperatures of entertainment running all throughout the five hours of the show with her hilarious comedy in act and song. The show would not have been more credible if not for the melodious songs by the golden voices from Anthony San, Osvi Viegas, Willy and Menino himself. Cruz de Sanvordem enthralled with his musical masterpiece Cock-re- cooah. Former stars of the Konkani stage now based now Abu Dhabi Jonny F and Magno Barbosa captured the crowd with additional two solo songs.


The show was attended with a splendid crowd by the Konkani speaking community in Abu Dhabi – the Goans, Mangloreans and Bombayites. Jashanmal Stores, UAE Exchange, Haveli Restaurant, Casa Goa, Jotun Paints and Etihad Airways – the national airline of the UAE had jointly sponsored the show.

Osvi Viegas, a former Abu Dhabi Goan and noted signer was felicitated during the intermission. Each of the cast was presented with a memento courtesy Jashanmal Stroes. Gift vouchers on lucky entrance tickets were distributed to the winners. A return air ticket on Abu Dhabi - Mumbai sector was a big catch for the lucky entrance ticket, courtesy Etihad Airways. The show was compeered by Ivor D’cuhna.
