Sultry Thursday in Delhi, rain expected on Friday


New Delhi, Aug 13 (IANS): The national capital experienced a humid Thursday and the maximum temperature settled two notches above the season's average at 35.8 degrees Celsius. Light rain is likely in some parts of the city on Friday, the Met Office said.

According to the India Meteorological Department, on Friday, the sky will remain partly cloudy while some parts of the city may get light rain. The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 35 and 28 degrees.

Thursday morning was sunny and the minimum temperature settled a notch above the average at 28 degrees Celsius. The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 93 percent.

Wednesday's maximum temperature was 35.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature settled at 28.0 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average.
