Samajwadi Party's mobile app launched


Lucknow, Aug 13 (IANS): The Samajwadi Party on Thursday launched a mobile application for publicity and public discourse.

Launching the application, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said social media had emerged as a very effective way to reach out to the people and it plays an important role in modern day world.

The party, he said, was wedded to the idea of use of modern technology to spread messages and hence the application.

Party leaders said the application was available on three platforms - Apple IOS, Android and Windows and can be downloaded from the official website of the party.

Besides, Yadav said this application would be friendly to both the urban and the rural areas and would can be used to gather information about various government policies, projects and programmes.

The application would also be used for getting feedback from the people about the work being done by the state government.

Press releases, news items and audio-visual clippings will also be available on the application.
