Mangaluru, Aug 14: The most awaited Tulu comedy film 'Super Marmaye', directed by Ram Shetty and produced under the banner of Anand Films, was released on Friday August 14 at Jyothi theatre here.
Simultaneously, the movie also released in Big Cinemas, Cinepolis and PVR theatres in Mangaluru, Kalpana in Udupi, Amarashree in Moodbidri, Radhika in Karkala, Arun in Puttur, Bharath in Beltanagady and Nakshatra at BC Road.
A Sadananda Shetty, chairman of Shree Devi Educational Trust inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp.
Addressing the gathering, Sadananda Shetty said, "Ram Shetty is a famous name and he has worked in the Hindi, Kannada and Tulu film industries. Nowadays all Tulu movies are doing well and I wish this movie completes more than 100 days. I congratulate the whole team on giving a good movie to the Tulu film industry."
Senior journalist Manohar Prasad said, "Ram Shetty is a very good friend of mine. I need not tell much about his work. He has given good movies to Tulu industry in the past, and now he has given 'Super Marmaye'. I wish this movie completes more than 200 days. I congratulate Ram Shetty and his team on making this movie. This is the 58th Tulu movie, let it be a great success."

Amar Shetty, Prakash Pandeshwar, Kishore Shetty, Naveen D Padil, Umanath Kotian, Jaganath Shetty Bala, cast and crew of the movie and others were present.
About the movie
'Super Marmaye' has been directed by Ram Shetty, and presented by Adyar Madava Nayak. Eugene D'Souza is the cinematographer, while Madan Harini is the choreographer and Chandrakanth Shetty has directed the music. Shashiraj Kavoor has written the lyrics and Naveen Shetty has written the dialogues. Sachin Shetty is the assistant director of the film.
Veteran actors like Gopinath Bhat, Naveen D Padil, Bojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Ragavendra Rai, Divyashree, Shradha Salian and others have played different roles in the movie.
