Mangaluru: Protest without permission - 29 BJP activists detained

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Aug 14: Several BJP activists were on Friday August 14 detained for holding a protest without official permission and later released.

The BJP was about to hold a protest near the DC's office against Youth Congress for hoisting their party flag on the pole bearing the national emblem and meant for hoisting the National Flag. Terming it as an insult to the nation, a case was also filed against the Youth Congress.

On Friday, the BJP members gathered near DC's office to condemn the incident, but even before the protest could start, Pandeshwar police arrived, rounded them up in the police van and took them away even as the protestors shouted slogans.

Police sources said that 29 people were detained and later released on bail. The police action was taken in view of security concerns, especially as it was the eve of Independence Day.

Meanwhile, the BJP Yuva Morcha condemed the Youth Congress and said, "The young Congress leaders have insulted our national emblem. As per an act passed in 1972, insulting of national anthem, emblem, and national flag, are tantamount to criminal offences. About these offences, in addition to filing reports in the police stations, reports need be filed with the union home minister and the President of India. A report has already been filed in Konaje police station, and we are sure the guilty would be punished. The district deputy commissioner, by issuing a childish statement, has tried to appease the guilty."

Send these trouble makers to Andaman jail. They are worth to stay there. They are jobless and hired by sangh parivar to create disturbance. From the picture it seems that Police are very friendly with them and no force is being used. In case sanme agitatin was done by PFI / Congress / DSS or any other organization, police would have dealt it harshly by beating them mercilessly. Karnataka police are working as agent of sangh parivar and are being paid for it.

What there is fare in crime or criminals within or without?
The first comment itself has brought the same flag hoisting issue by Muthalik & Co., again mentioning the same is not needed in this case.
By the way your arguments just like that of BJP or Sushma- they have done it what is wrong if I do it? 2 wrongs won't make 1 Right!

Dear Prabhu, did you forget while Sri Ramsena terrorists hoisted Pak flag. This shows that real terrorists anti nationals are these sangh parivar people. These hate mongers should be dealt with harshly and these anti national terror outfits should be d as terrorist and be banned/closed.
Who are these to teach lesson to others on National flag while they have no right to speak. These terrorist supported Don Mutalik for hoisting Pak flag during last independence day. No need to be surprised if same thing repeat this time also.

Pakistani flags were hoisted in Kashmir today.
ISIS flags are unfurled many times in J&K.
What BJP did against their ruling partners?
Why no protest when terrorist are released there?
Hypocrites always want to divert peoples attention from these anti nationalist acts against nation by blaming Nationalist Party that brought Independence to India.
