Bengaluru: JD(S) gave Siddaramaiah political power- Deve Gowda

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Aug 15: “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who has been speaking cheaply about JD(S) party should realise that our party gave him the political power. It is because of JD(S) he gained politically. He should not forget this fact,” said former Prime Minister Deve Gowda on Friday criticizing Siddaramaiah for his earlier remarks on JD(S) party.

Deve Gowda was speaking to reporters at his party office in city.

“We made him the deputy chief minister. Because of that he became chief minister later,” Deve Gowda added.

“When defence department vacated 70 acres of land for the development of Bengaluru, Siddaramaiah did not sign the document. When Narasimha Rao refused 9TMC water to the state, what Siddaramaiah was doing? Where was he then?” Deve Gowda quipped.

“Criticizing JD(S) during the BBMP election has not been done in good taste. A person in that post should not have demeaned a political party like that. It was not fair.” Deve Gowda concluded.

No doubt Deve Gowda launched Siddu in a big way and he got focused as a big leader. But unlike other chief ministers of Karnataka (except a few) he is not corrupt.

You are wrong, it was voter of Varuna constituency in Mysore district elected Sleeping CM Siddu in yr 2013 assembly election, without which he would have never become CM, congress only chose him because Dr. Parameshwar lost from Korategere, so there is lot of sense in Ex PM Mr. Deve Gowda's statement.
