Puttur: Two debarred from college for appearing in indecent party video

Daijiworld Media Network - Puttur (RJP)

Puttur, Aug 15: Two girl students have been debarred from a college in Subramanya for having appeared in an 'indecent' party video which is being circulated in the social media for the past few days.

The girls are seen partying with other friends in the video. The video is said to have gone viral on Thursday. ABVP activists had requested the Subramanya police to investigate the matter.

Meanwhile the college administration called the students to enquire about the incident. It is said that both of them admitted that they had gone on a tour during holidays and had partied there. As a disciplinary measure the college in Subramanya decided to debar them, the principal of the college has said.

The parents of the girl students told the college management that they were aware that the girls had gone on a tour, but they were ignorant about the party. The girls study in the same college but in different classes. It is said that both of them are good friends. The girls in the video are seen with holding beer mugs and cigarette in their hands. Names of other members in the party and the place have not been identified.

Nobody knows why the videos were uploaded in the social media many days after the tour took place. It is suspected that drug mafia may be involved.

Here someone wanted to spoil the names of the Girls.First ask Girls who did take the Pictures whether they know?why should they be debarred from School? They were on Holidays and can do what they want.Afterall what wrong did they do?only going to a Party may be to celebrate birthday?Holding cigarettes and Bier in Hand? Some People are more Moral Apostels I feel.what they did is in Holidays and not in School premises .why not Girls go to a Party and only Boys?Better principal should take back the debarring.when case is filed sure,he will loose.when Girls had done some nood Party or was a case for Police.here principal has nothing to say.File a case against the Person who wants to spoil the Name of Girls and spread the Video.Girls School year is spoiled.because they went to a Party?absolutely funny.cigarette in Hand and Bier doesnt mean they drank and if they have done?

The girls are seen partying with other friends in the video. So what? Did they misbehave in the college campus or in the class room? Why they have to be debarred when the incident was a personal matter?
They went on a tour with the permission of the parents. Parents must have allowed their children with good faith but no parents can keep spying them 24 x 7 and 365 days. Once out of sight anything might be possible. It’s a lesson for the parents how alert they have to be. Too much liberty and trust takes matters too worse.
In the age of smart phones, life is becoming too complex and dangerous there is no privacy. We are thinking of banning the adult sites but these smart phones are equally responsible for all evil that is taking place presently in and around and in the society. What is the solution?

    Peter,

Please dont comment on what women can and cant do. Its none of your damn business.

Do you really know what is the real reason for violence against women? its the thinking such as yours. Men mostly from our country generally have a tendency to show that they know to put the women at their place. If women is out at night, then she may be this or that and we can do anything with her. Its the similar thinking that driver on the bus in the delhi rape case said.

Next, how do you know what is good for society? Please dont give me stupid excuses of dangers to the society. Every individuals have their rights. You dont like what they do then look the other way.

    Dear readers

Don't argue on the basis of ones rights...As against rights, there are ethics, taboos, norms and morales in our society which are unwritten but adapted and practiced and adhered by society at large for the betterment of society and its members..Whats permissible in elite or western society could be a taboo in Indian society..Whats taboo is islam could be a norm amongst hindus. So its the members of such society are largely held responsible...People of every society know that these unwritten norms are good for the society..In the pretext of freedom, one cant walk in the middle of the road or one cant tie a cloth to his eyes and walk in the street. Please respect the norms, taboos n traditions..Dont argue on the basis of rights and on and on..

    shahnawaz,

I disagree with you. You have taken such a stand because what you said conveniently suits you.

In a democracy, people have rights and each individual is suppose to be equal. Without the rights what is democracy for?? The main reason you say what you say is because you (and most other people, unfortunately) really dont have understanding of what democracy is.

I will ask you one thing, what is you stand on beef ban? are you for or against it? If i take your pathetic reasoning of respecting taboo, then you should be fine with ban on slaughtering cows and consumption of beef.

The democracy fails because of selfishness of people. When some thing is in their interest they protest. When something is not they act as if nothing is wrong.

Its a simple case of GRAPES ARE SOUR revenge. The college has failed in educating its students properly. Besides the girls are in Karnataka state and not pakistan and are free to choose their own past times especially during their holiday time. The least the principal should have done is to investigate who is behind posting their pictures in social sites - he failed to do so - proving that he is totally unfit to be holding such high responsible position.

The girls and their parents should sue the principal for dereliction of duty and incompetence and debar him from occupying that position any more.

    THINK BEFORE INK
In my personal opinion the college administration should reconsider the issue and take the students back, why I say this is because of the following reasons.
    • Girls will be talk of the town, which will make them go under depression and commit some drastic mistakes for which college will be sorry for.
    • Those people behind this party will be in touch with the girls with some means and draw them towards them and threaten the girls to do some unwanted activities.
    • Parents of the girls will be under so much pressure and forced to take action against girls which will ruin the family life.
College administration should warn the parents and the girls and take them back before it is too late.

Does college have moral classes for all the students, including ABVP thugs to make them aware of what is right and wrong and how they are to make choices in life as per their age??? Girls do not know that partying leads to get into touch with Mafia's.. These people slowly force the girl into these activities.. Slowly, they are forced.. Then comes the blackmailing part if they do not listen to these men.. Then comes the threat.. then illegal marriage or elopement in the name of Love... Then the Family threat to her parents or brothers or neighbor's.. then sold for elite forces.. Finally the law as well as parents end up being helpless.. The girl finally ends up in Mumbai ( u know Where )... SO PARENTS THINK TWICE ABT UR DAUGHTER COZ NOBODY IS GONNA HELP U, WHEN ITS TOO LATE..

U Don't think that girls are spoiling their future by this? ?. Note that this article is not related to Modi. Understand the pain of parents.

Unknowingly these school children might have committed this mistake, but the things got worsened because the videos went viral over the social media! Counselling is more important than punishing them! Reason for uploading the video needs to be investigated and the culprits should be punished!

Girls have to be more careful than boys as any such incidents will put them in difficulty from many fronts whether it is education, career and other. Because our society excuses boys telling that they are boys.

According to you anyone drinking beer or smoking cigarette should be immediately judged that they dont have good principles in life.

First of all, the legal age of drinking is 18 years in karnataka. So if these girls are 18 or above, what have they done wrong?

From when is holding beer mug and cigarette has become indecent?

''It is suspected that drug mafia may be involved.'' - this connection made to beer mug and cigarette is hilarious.

Lastly, If boys would have done same, would it been a issue? Are we not pushing towards equality towards both sexes?

I am expecting a lot of sexist and misogynistic comments for this article.

    Dear Principal,
Please do not debar them. Counsel them and protect them from universal condemnation. Remember many great leaders are born out hyperactive extroverts.
