Shun violence for development of Jharkhand: CM


Ranchi, Aug 15 (IANS): Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday appealed to the youth treading on the path of violence to return to the mainstream for the state's development.

Speaking on the 69th Independence Day at Morabadi Ground here, he said: "Jharkhand cannot be built by adopting the path of violence. I appeal to the youth to return back to the mainstream of the society. The people of the state want peace, development, good future for their children".

Das hoisted the tricolour at Morabadi ground of Ranchi. He said that his government was committed for good-governance in the state.

"We are dedicated to uses Information Technology to provide accessible and transparent governance. My dream is to make state corruption free," the chief minister said.

Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu hoisted the tricolour at Dumka.
