Saina Nehwal an inspiration: Mamata

Kolkata, Aug 16 (IANS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday described Saina Nehwal as an "inspiration" after the ace Indian shutter went down fighting to world No.1 Carolina Marin in the final of the World Badminton Championships in Jakarta.

"You have made us all proud. Saina your silver medal at the World Championship will be an inspiration. Well done again," Banerjee said on a social networking site.

World No.2 Saina was outclassed by Carolina of Spain. The Indian lost 16-21, 19-21 in 59 minutes.
