DDA employee commits suicide

New Delhi, Aug 17 (IANS): A 59-year-old Delhi Development Authority (DDA) employee allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his residence, police said on Monday.

The incident came to light when Dharamvir Singh was found hanging at his house in Dayalpur in east Delhi on Sunday evening.

"He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. We are yet to ascertain the reason for his extreme step as no suicide note was found in his possession," said a police official.
