Modi condemns Bangkok blast


New Delhi, Aug 17 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday condemned the blast in Bangkok which claimed the lives of 15 people.

"I strongly condemn the blast in Bangkok. My thoughts are with the families of the deceased. I pray for a speedy recovery of the injured", Modi said.

At least 15 people were killed and 80 wounded when a bomb exploded close to a shrine in the centre of the Thai capital.

The explosion took place close to the Hindu Erawan Shrine in the capital's central Chidlom district.
