PM condoles Suvra Mukherjee's death

New Delhi, Aug 18 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday condoled the death of President Pranab Mukherjee's wife Suvra Mukherjee.

"Pained to know about the passing away of Mrs. Suvra Mukherjee. My condolences to Rashtrapati ji and his family in this hour of grief," Modi said in a tweet.

"Mrs. Suvra Mukherjee will be remembered as a lover of art, culture & music. Her warm nature endeared her to everyone she met."

Suvra Mukherjee died in Delhi on Tuesday morning after prolonged illness.
