Bihar Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh pushed an old woman in Bhagalpur on Thursday.
The shocking incident took place when the minister was at the Bhagalpur Agriculture University at the inauguration of a mango festival.
Halko Devi, a widow, came forward and pleaded for help in getting her compensation.
Her husband, a driver at the university, had died three years ago while working as a driver at the agriculture ministry.
But instead of a patient hearing, the minister gave her a big shove.
The minister has earlier slapped a magistrate in front of the legislative assembly.
