Mangaluru, Aug 19: Melwin Alwyn D'Souza (38), who was severely injured in a serial accident at Bikarnakatte recently, passed away in a private hospital in the city on Wednesday August 19.
In the accident that took place on July 25, a Sri Vasuki bus plying from BC Road to State Bank rammed into an Alto car, an auto rickshaw, an Activa and a bike.
Five persons were injured, among whom were Melwin and his wife Pramila D'Souza who were on the Activa.
Melwin who sustained serious brain injury was admitted in a private hospital. After battling for life for almost a month, he breathed his last early morning on Wednesday.
Pramila also sustained serious injuries, but is recuperating.
Melwin was videographer by profession.
He leaves behind his wife, a son and a daughter.
