Udupi: Sri Sadananda Swamiji of Nityananda Ashram Passes Away

Udupi, Jun 16: Sri Sadananda Swamiji (93), vice-president of Nityananda Ashram public trust in Kanhangad, Kasargod passed away here on Friday June 15. His end came in the SDM Ayurvedic College near Udyavar here, where he had been under treatment for the last two months.

Born as Madhava Padiyar in Udupi, he was one of the last disciples of Shri Nityananda Swamiji and had become a religious at the age of 14. Until the demise of Shri Nityananda in Ganeshpuri near Mumbai, he had lived with him.

For the past 45 years he stayed at the Nityananda Ashram in Kanhangad guiding devotees. He had disciples from all over the world.

The funeral rites were performed on Saturday June 16 morning at Kanhangad Kushalnagar Nityananda Ashram.
