Kundapur, Aug 23: 'This taluk, which has been creating its own imprints in the business sector, got national and international recognition when Uva Meridian Convention Hall was dedicated to the society at Koteshwar two years back. Now, Uva Meridian Bay Resort and Spa, a luxury hotel equipped with all modern facilities, which has the potential to become first of its kind in Karnataka, has been set up by young entrepreneurs, Bailoor Udaykumar Shetty and Bailoor Vinaykumar Shetty brothers. I congratulate them for this bold initiative,' said state rural development and panchayati raj minister, H K Patil.
He was speaking after inaugurating Uva Meridian Bay Resort and Spa. The inaugural was held at Uva Meridian Conention Centre premises at Koteshwar near here on Saturday August 22.
Urban development minister, Vinay Kumar Sorake, noted in his address that Koteshwar has been witnessing several revolutionary development initiatives of late. He revealed that the proposal to bring Koteshwar under the ambit of the municipal council of Kundapur is being considered.
Bengaluru MRG Group chairman, Prakash Shetty, Dubai-based entrepreneur, Varadaraj Shetty, Bengaluru Mediscan Centre radiologist, Dr Navinchandra Shetty, Manipal Academy of General Education administrative officer, Dr H Shantaram, Dr M Shantaram Shetty of Tejaswini Hospital and Institute of Orthopedics,and MLC, Kota Srinivas Poojary, who participated as guests, wished the venture well.
