Mangaluru: VHP, Bajrang Dal protest against cattle trafficking, illegal slaughterhouses

Mangaluru, Aug 24: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal on Monday August 24 organized a massive protest at Moodbidri against cattle trafficking and illegal slaughterhouses.

Addressing the gathering at Rajiv Gandhi commercial complex, RSS leader Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat said, "The cow which remains benevolent throughout its life is revered in India. Hinduism considers cow as holy, but some people inhumanly slaughter cows for meat. Those who look after cows with deep affection despite financial difficulties are robbed of their cows at sword-point by those indulging in cattle trafficking.

"Illegal slaughterhouses are mushrooming indiscriminately in urban as well as rural areas. The state Congress government which supports criminals is also trying to control the police department, as a result of which cases are being filed against protectors of cattle instead of cattle traffickers. When illegal slaughterhouses are raided, the people who are caught falsely claim that they are rearing cattle for agriculture and manage to escape the law. But the police should understand their real intent and take strict action," Prabhakar Bhat said.

"All Hindus must teach a good lesson to politicians who use the word 'Hindu' in a communal way. Hinduism does not encourage violence. We will continue our struggle against those who indulge in violence and those who support acts of violence," he asserted.

VHP executive president Jagadish Shenava said that police should take stringent action against those who shout slogans in support of Pakistan.

Bajrang Dal leader Sharan Pumpwell, regional Go Rakshak Pramukh Dinesh Pai, Bhujanga Kulal, Vasudeva Bhat, Bajrang Dal Udupi convener Sunil K R, VHP leader Vishwanath Prabhu and many others were present.

Prior to the protest, hundreds of people marched in a rally from Thousand Pillar Basadi to Rajiv Gandhi commercial complex.

Dear RSS leaders (goons), it's very funny to read your thoughts that you people consider cow as holy, than why you didn't stand in the ancient age and why your olden era never stopped cow slaughtering.
It's shame on you that, you people are willingly trying to destroy the atmosphere of the nation between the religion. I challenge this is not a issue of cow slaughtering, this is only a subject to harass minorities.
If such people continued to exist in today's world than I am sure Indian will never free from corruption, case and religion issue etc.
This is a high time to organize functions, rallies having slogan of "BRING BACK THE BLACK MONEY".
Oh intelligent peoples, try to become headline in print media and social media just by doing doing good works, rather than doing these nonsense functions.

Mr Kalladka prabhakar bhat, first ask Modi to ban Beef exports, why don't you march to delhi to protest against beef exports, why doesn't BJP government ban beef in Goa? Is cow , matha only in karnataka and maharashtra but not in goa? Stop being hypocritical and fight for the real cause of cow slaughter, you are only interested in making political capital out of it so that your stooge gets elected from BJP and falls to your feet and god knows what kind of favours are offered to you by them. Even I am against cow slaughter and always will be but I am not hypocritical like you

Why these jobless VHP and BDs can't march to Gujarat to stop exporting beef to the Gulf countries? The holy State of India from where the Savior of India was born.

VHP and BD will get a good dose beating and tear gas therapy and will be chased away.

Maharastra is not getting enough cow deity blessings now through taking away the protean rich food from over 30% of the population of Maharastra. Why the sensex is plunging too fast at the financial center of India with the double blessing of the cow deity? 7 lakh crore Rs. lost to the investors of India in a single day. It is a march towards aachi din?

Question out of curiosity. "What is the deference between illegal slaughterhouses and legal slaughterhouses?' At the end of the both are producing meat I guess. And we call it food. Having legal/permission makes it more reliable?
