Mangaluru, Aug 24: Two bikes and weapons were found in a secluded spot on a hillock at Saripalla, Kulshekar here on Monday August 24.

It is learnt that a group of youths spotted two bikes lying seemingly abandoned on the hillock, and when they checked, they found weapons near them.

The youths then looked around for the owners of the bikes, and found two persons sitting inside a tent among the trees. However, when they saw the youths coming their way, they fled and managed to escape.

The youths then informed the police who arrived at the spot and investigated. Mosquito repellent coils were found in the tent, indicating that they might have pitched the tent on the previous night.

The two bikes along with machetes, sickles and a rod were seized by the police.

It is suspected that the bikes were stolen and that the two persons who fled from the tent might have been hatching a plan to commit a crime.

Mangaluru rural police are investigating.

I have a simillar experience while I was going for a morning walk at Thanner Bhaavi road. Early morning 5AM, I used to see same type of wepaons in near Thanner Bhaavi (not main road, interior road) places where un accounted COWS take shelter. More than 3 occasions, I have seen tempo with three- four people loading these un accounted COWS into the vehicle. Early morning there is nobody to see this except myself. But, they do this instatly and vanish. This also looks like simillar, they are nothing but COW killers.

I think by looking at the items they are tools for daily labour people. looks like the people are working somewhere close and these tools are meant for sharpening and by using coal and fire.I think these youths are wasting police and public time.People look carefully. There is a safety glasses on the branch of the small tree which could be eye protection while hammering the tools. Please examine the facts before we could judge may be(Poor) laborers.

Since a group of youth went their to check they ran away. If a lonely person had gone they would have hacked him to death. These are the same Thieves who burgled the Mobile Point shop in Kulshekar.
