Ajman, Aug 25: As soon as the Gulf Medical University (GMU) opened its admissions for this academic year, the university admissions department received a whopping 4000 applications for just around 300 seats. The admissions department is currently in the process of shortlisting and interviewing admission-seekers. The high demand, due to which very few seats are available, speaks volumes of GMU’s emergence as the most sought-after private medical university in the UAE.


Located in the Al Jurf area in the northern Emirate of Ajman, the Gulf Medical University is a full-fledged private medical university owned and operated by the Thumbay Group UAE. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has recognized GMU as a center of excellence and has permitted the university to offer MBBS, BPT, DMD, PharmD and Masters Programs in clinical pathology, public health, and toxicology.
