Mangaluru, Aug 27: The alumni association of St Aloysius College honoured 26 staff members on completing 25 years of service at the institute.

A well attended luncheon reception at the college auditorium was held on August 22.

The convener prof Edmund Frank welcomed the audience and kick started the ceremony. Fr Denzil Lobo, rector, Fr Swebert D`Silva, principal, Fr Francis Almeida, vice principal and Dr Richard Gonsalves, president administered the honours to the recipients.

Fr Denzil Lobo and Fr Swebert D`Silva in their address highlighted the contributions of the staff members and congratulated the awardees. They also complemented the alumni association for organising the function. Dr Narayan Bhat and Margaret Rita D`Silva spoke on behalf of the recipients.

The immediate past president Michael D`Souza and office bearers Peter Rodrigues and Naveen Mascarenhas were present on the dais. Dr Richard Gonsalves proposed the vote of thanks.
