Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (HB)

Udupi, Aug 28: Miscreants set fire to a shop at Sasthan here in the wee hours of Friday August 28.

The shop, 'Mandara Fancy Store' belongs to Praveen Gundmi.

It is said that miscreants poured petrol on the shop and set it on fire. Luckily, as a large refridgerator covers almost the entire front portion of the shop, the flames did not spread inside.

Traces of petrol were found on the tiles in front of the shop, giving rise to suspicions that it was a deliberate act. The reason is not yet known.

The estimated loss is yet to be ascertained.

Police arrived at the spot and conducted investigation. CCTV footage from a bank located opposite the shop would be examine the case.

Kota police have registered a case.

Atrocities like these are on the increase. For the least reason, either people are attacked or vendetta is translated in setting fire to shops and homes.

Hope the law comes down heavily on the miscreants

Why dear all why this is happening in and around Mangalore, Udupi & Kundapur? Why we are troubling innocent people?

Please stay calm and dont hurt innocent people around us. Instead of doing this why dont you fight those who are spoiling the peace in our society like you have done to this petty shop!
