Mangaluru: Murder of auto driver Hidayath - Wife arrested, search for others on

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Aug 31: In connection to the murder of Hidayath, an auto driver who was found dead in his rickshaw a couple of days ago, the police have arrested his first wife.

Fazila (28) from Ullal Alekala near here, the first wife of Hidayath, was arrested by Ullal police.

Hidayath was killed by attacking him with sticks and crushing him with stones near Kukkudakatte on Sankesh Road near Natekal, Ullal on the night of Friday August 28.

The police have been searching for Farooq, Fazila's brother, and some others, concerning this murder case.

Hidayath from Ullal Alekala, had been led to Sankesh in the guise of hiring his vehicle on Friday night. He was murdered near Sankesh. On the face of it, the police had strong reasons to believe that the victim's wife, Fazila, and her brothers were involved with this murder, after they learnt about marital discord between the couple.

A day before he was slain, Hidayath had filed a complaint in Ullal police station, alleging that he was facing threat to his life from the family members of his first wife. On the basis of this letter, Fazila was taken into custody and produced in court by Ullal police. Some others including Fazila's brother, who were supposedly involved in this killing, are at large. Ullal police are continuing with investigation.

With one wife you fight(not necessarily) and patch up and when two are involved you are caught up in between two. Result destruction. Never think of third!

If you marry one woman, she will fight with you.
If you marry two women, they will fight 'for' you.
if you marry more than three woman, they will 'kill' you..

last paragraph of the news: A day before he was slain, Hidayath had filed a complaint in Ullal police station, alleging that he was facing threat to his life from the family members of his first wife..

What police department is doing in spite of getting written complaint?

Someone from police department must resign for the negligence on the written complaint..

Well, what is the end result of this crime and this hatred? Now Hidayath is brutally killed and those who did this heinous crime will face the consequence both while in life as well as after death. Killing someone and taking revenge or punishing anyone in life is one of the biggest sins in Islam and we have no right what so ever to kill anyone for whatever the reason.

Above all, I find this act a bit more serious than we could imagine at a time when few groups who try to harm the peace in our society in the name of religion hatred could use this incident as an excuse to disturb the peace.
