Mumbai, Aug 31: Model Cooperative Bank, previously known as The Mangalore Catholic Cooperative Credit Society of Karnataka coastal region held its 98th annual general body meeting at St Xavier's Engineering College auditorium in Mahim west on Saturday August 29.
Model bank executive president Albert W D'Souza presided over the programme. “This is more a bank of the society than the community. We are giving priority for the satisfactory service to customers. The cooperation of the customers is the inspiration for the progress of the bank. The Mumbai cooperative bankers association limited has awarded model bank excellent bank status and third place,” said
executive president Albert D'Souza.
Jabbalpur diocese Bishop Right Fr Jerald Almeida led a thanksgiving mass before the meeting. Fr Lancy John Rose participated in the mass. Keneth Sequeira and team sang hymns.
Bank's founder president John D' Silva, vice president William Sequeira, directors professor A P D' Souza, Abraham Clement Lobo, Lawrence D'Souza, Thomas D'Lobo, Vincent Mathais, Lazarus Menezes, Paul Nazareth, Philip L S Pinto, Sanjaya Shinde, Advoate Pius Vas, Mariot D'Silva, Benedicta Rebello, Ronald H Mendonca, George Castelino, Bank's CEO general manager William L D' ouza were present on the dais.
Executive president Albert D'Souza presented flower bouquets and felicitated Bishop Jerald Almeida and the bank's founder president John D'Silva.
Senior managers Zener D'Cruz and Hilary Mendonsa, former directors, senior officials, heads of different branches, shareholders and well wishers were present. Several people expressed their opinions on
behalf of the shareholders and hoped that the bank progresses with pro people response.
General manager William L D'Souza read the suggestions and previous year's report. A silent prayer was held in the beginning of the programme for director late Prem Aranha and other members who passed away in the previous year. Edward Rasquinha compered the hall programme. Additional chief manager Herald M Serrao proposed the vote of thanks.
