Mumbai: Kannada Sangha Santacruz holds annual general body meeting

Mumbai, Sep 1: Kannada Sangha, Santacruz held their 58th annual general body meeting at Billava Bhavan auditorium at Santacruz east on the evening of Sunday August 30. President of the Sangha, L V Ameen presided over the meeting.



President L V Ameen lit the traditional lamp along with the office bearers and set the meeting in motion. He said that every Indian should be aware of the reality of the modern era. “The hard work of the associations is necessary for the uniformity and unity of lives,” he said.

Businessmen Jagadish P Ameen, CA Prakash Shetty, advocate S B Ameen, Raghurama Shetty and others were present. They distributed more than Rs 1 lac aid to the adopted students of the Sangha.

president Bannanje Ravindra Ameen, social and cultural committee executive president Sharada S Poojary, members Shivarama Kotian, Suma M Poojary, G R Bangera, Prasanna Shetty, Jaya A Kotian, Lingappa Ameen, Shalini G Shetty, Usha V Shetty, Chandayya Poojary and others were present.

Cultural committee secretary Laxmi N Kotian led the prayer. Honorary chief secretary Sujatha Shetty welcomed the gathering, read the previous year's report and compered the meeting. President L V Ameen presented flower bouquets to the guests and honored them. Education committee secretary Sudhakar Uchil read the names of the beneficiary students. N M Sanil and K Sudhakar spoke on behalf of the audience and expressed their opinions.

Joint secretary Chandrahas J Suvarna proposed the vote of thanks.
