Both private and government buses stayed off the roads, and so also auto rickshaws, trucks and taxis. Hotels, shops, threatres, other businesses, and educational institutions remained closed.

The bandh evoked good response in even in the outskirts and rural areas of Kundapur. In various parts, members of labour unions were seen forcibly closing down shops and stopping vehicles.

People faced much incovenience due to absence of public transport. Only a few private vehicles were seen plying on the roads.

The important thing that has to be observed is that, these people who are using the occasion to cause trouble are not in any way connected to bandh!. They are just enjoying by causing trouble and loss to other people!. Catch hold of some of these trouble makers and visit their house and I am sure their daily routine goes on normally!. We have to also ask these trouble makers, whether we too can damage their house and property!!!.

For Mangalore it's disaster, ABVP strike, Rickshaw union on strike, All India Trade Union strike. Stock market collapse. We have to check onion price tomorrow. Surely it will effect!
Big blow for Modi's canvasing and encouraging foreign direct investment in India. It's a blemish.

..yesterday i got leaflet of one of the labour union, they have listed some reason for their bandh..it says, they oppose restructuring of Postal dept!!..we should know that in this digital age postal dept became junk..we have thousands of work force, Govt pays for them without much return..can we afford it, day will come postal dept has to close its activities..so Govt wants to connect postal dept to online courier service & wants convert it as a rural financial institution..But Unions dont want it!!..next demand is make temporary Anganwadi teachers permanent,!! i dont know Anganawadi comes under state or central Govt..next issue raised is Labour reforms..we have labour laws of nearly 30 years back which is left leaning..thats why we are behind in Industrialization..Industries in WB/Kerala like states winding up business..next point, Land acquisition..these unions forgot that they are here due to Industies,Business,Corporate houses..if Industries didnt get land where we have to employ youth, where will be your unions!!..another issue raised is, Unions dont want FDI in Insurance!..if we compare premium of LIC and some private players, LIC is collecting huge premium its around 40% more than private player..If there is FDI, there will be influx of private Insurance companies which will further reduce premiums & help consumers insured at affordable cost which is not happening now..People want a break from daily works thats why enjoying Bandh, otherwise there is no sense in supporting this Bandh..

The people voted for modi must suffer for their mistake.Today a chaddi fascist organisation is analysing the performance of central govt in a coordination meeting.Imagine the whole modi cabinet surrendered before mohan bagwath then what will be the value Indian voter. If a middle class or poor have any dream of progress then just defeat and isolate sangh parivar party and construct regional ideology of coalission political administration which is much better for indian progress.
