Mumbai, Sep 3: Dakshina Kannada Yaksha Tulu Parba Samithi under the aegis of Akhila Bharatha Tulu Okkoota set in motion Tulu Yakshagana Week. The week long Tulu Yakshagana programmes are set to continue till September 7 all over Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. The inauguration was held at Dr M Vishweshwaraya auditorium, Matunga west on the evening of Tuesday September 1.


Bantara Sangha Mumbai president Karnire Vishwanath Shetty was present as chief guest. He lit the traditional lamp and inaugurated the Yakshagana week. Akhila Bharatha Tulu Okkoota president Dharmapal U
Devadiga presided over the programme.

Ganiga Samaja Seva Sangha Mumbai vice president Kutpadi Ramachandra M Ganiga, Karnataka Sangha Mumbai honorary secretary Omdas Kannangar, G T Acharya, Polya Umesh Shetty, Balakrishna Bhandary and Karnooru Mohan Rai were present as guests of honour.

Koti Chennaya Tulu Yakshagana play was enacted as the first episode.
